Effective 21 September 2026
These are the terms between you and Sebenza Online, the operator of Season (seasoncoach.com). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. They are short on purpose; read them.
Season is an AI cycling coach. It reads the riding data you connect, plans a season around your events, writes workouts to your calendar and head unit, scores your rides against the plan, and answers your questions in a conversation. It can also connect you with a human coach who works in the same thread.
Season is software. It is not a doctor, a physiotherapist or a licensed professional of any kind, and nothing it says is medical advice. Endurance training carries real risk: cardiac events, crashes, overtraining, heat illness. Before you follow a plan, be satisfied that you are healthy enough to train, and see a doctor if you are not sure or have a known condition.
You decide whether to ride. If you feel unwell, if the weather or the road is dangerous, or if a session does not make sense for the day you are having, skip it and tell the coach. The coach only knows what your data and your messages tell it.
When you connect Intervals.icu, Wahoo or Hammerhead you authorise Season to read your activities from that service and, where you enable it, to write planned workouts to it. Their terms apply to your use of them. You can disconnect at any time from Integrations. We are not responsible for outages, changes or data errors on their side, though we will do our best to work around them.
The plans. Season is a paid service with two monthly plans. Season Lite includes the coach with a weekly coaching allowance, all integrations, ride analysis, the season plan and the monthly report. Season PRO is the same with a much larger coaching allowance. We may change what the allowances are; we will say so in the app.
Free trials. A new account can start either plan with a free trial: 3 days on Season Lite, 7 days on Season PRO. You give a payment card when the trial starts and nothing is charged during it. When the trial ends your subscription begins and your card is charged the monthly price shown when you signed up, unless you cancel before then. Cancel from Settings at any point in the trial and you pay nothing. A new account opened through a friend’s invite link gets a 30-day free trial on either plan instead. One free trial per person: a second account, or a returning one, does not get another.
Billing. Plans bought on our website are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from Settings; you keep your plan to the end of the period you have paid for and are not charged again. You can move between the plans: an upgrade starts straight away and the difference for the current month is charged then; a downgrade takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund partial months, except where the law where you live requires it or the service was materially unavailable through our fault. If we change a price we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
Buying in the iPhone app. A plan bought in the Season iPhone app is sold and billed by Apple through your Apple ID, not by us, and Apple’s terms for App Store purchases apply to it. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends if you start one (3 days on Season Lite, 7 days on Season PRO, one per Apple ID). The subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions; refunds for App Store purchases are requested from Apple. Deleting your Season account does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel it with Apple first.
Failed payments and no plan. If a payment fails, coaching stays on for 3 days while the charge is retried. After that, or if you have no plan, the coach and changes to your training plan are switched off until you choose a plan. Your rides, calendar, season and history stay open to read, and your data stays yours to export or delete.
Accounts from before the plans. If you created your account before 21 September 2026, you keep the free plan you signed up to, with its weekly coaching allowance, and can move to a paid plan whenever you like.
Taxes are added where applicable.
Coach accounts are invite-only. A coach you accept can see and edit your plan, events and profile and read your coaching thread, as described in the Privacy Policy. The relationship, its price and its advice are between you and that coach; Season provides the tools, not the coaching. Either of you can end it at any time. Coaches agree to use athlete data only to coach that athlete and to keep it confidential.
Your riding data, your messages and your profile are yours. You give us a licence to store, process and display them, and to send them to the providers named in the Privacy Policy, for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. That licence ends when the data is deleted. We may use aggregate figures that do not identify anyone to understand and improve the product.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
The Season software, its design, its name and mark, the coaching methodology as expressed in the product, and the reports and analyses it produces for you are ours or our licensors'. You may use them for your own training. Nothing here transfers ownership of them to you.
We work to keep Season available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any workout, score or prediction will be correct. We may change or retire features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that matter. If we shut the service down we will give you at least 30 days to export your data.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sebenza Online is not liable for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from your training, from decisions you make based on the coach's output, from third-party services, or from loss of data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
You can stop using Season at any time and delete your account yourself in Settings, or ask us to by emailing hello@seasoncoach.com. We can end the agreement with reasonable notice, or immediately if you breach it. Sections about data, intellectual property and liability survive.
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away protections you have under the consumer law of the country you live in. Talk to us first: most things get sorted by email.
When we change these terms materially we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
